Baccarat has not always been a very popular online casino game, but since the introduction of Live Dealer Baccarat, the player numbers have shot straight through the roof! For those of you who do not know what Baccarat is, it is a card game that is played with 8 decks of cards and up to 3 dealers, and up to 14 players. Prior to dealing, all the players must choose to bet on either the player or the banker or bet on the two tying. When the pot is right, the dealer will deal himself 2 cards face down and another 2 cards to the table who bet the most that the player would beat the banker. We have found some good Baccarat winning strategies you should read before hitting the tables.
How to Play Baccarat
Your bet is deciding whether the banker or the player will have the highest hand. Now the way you figure out points in Baccarat is basically backward from any other card game where each card has points. All the point values with face cards are 0 instead of 10. 10s all being worth 10 points. Aces are always 1 point and all other cards are their number value. Just like any hand, you add the points together, but if your hand equals more than 10, you subtract 10 from it. For example, the highest hand you can get is a total of 9. This can be achieved by being dealt 2, 7, or 3, 6, or 4, 5. If you were to get any higher on one of those hands, like a 6, 4, your total would be 0! It’s important you figure out the keys to winning in online Baccarat before you enter the casino, whether it’s life or not.
If either the player or the banker shows a hand that totals 8 or 9, both the player and the banker will be forced to stand and that will be the end of the hand with no more cards dealt. If the player’s hand totals 5 points or less, the player will hit(ask for another card). If the player has a total of 6 or 7 of the first 2 cards he will stand. Once the player stands, the banker will then have the chance to hit if the banker’s hand totals 5 or less. Whether or not the banker will hit and get a third card depends on what the player has in their hand. Below is a chart that will explain the action the banker will take depending on the cards that the player is holding.
